The cacao market continues to struggle, which means the cost of chocolate products continues to climb. Unfortunately, this impact trickles down to chocolate distributors and their customers.
The Pastry Depot's goal is to keep our pricing as competitive and affordable as possible, however, we have been forced to raise prices on many of our cacao products once again this year, and it likely will not be the last increase in 2024. A new Valrhona price increase will go in to affect on Monday, August 19, with additional increases on other brands expected in the coming months.

Update from Barry Callebaut
Customers, Please note that due to the continued unprecedented times we are in with historic cocoa market prices, we are having to pass along an increase for the upcoming Price List for chocolate. This will be effective for all deliveries as of August 1st, 2024 and after. Chocolate items will increase between 20-30%, Mona Lisa items will increase on average 5%, but compound products will remain flat.
Update from Cacao Noel
Dear Customers, As has been reported in the news (see this article), the global chocolate market has become very challenging. Major chocolate brands are increasing prices by between 30% and 50%.
Cacao Noel couverture prices will increase by an average of 24% on September 1st, 2024. Individual product prices will increase between 15% and 37%, averaging out to 24%. We will keep these prices steady for as long as possible. But, Cacao Noel prices may increase another 10% in late fall / early winter if manufacturing costs continue to increase.
